Pierre Marcolini - Brussels

Brussels

One of the greatest Chocolatier of all times!  Pierre Marcolini whose name is famed among chocoholics, is Belgian by nationality and Italian by origin.   Absolutely exquisite chocolate by the master of his craft.

This is not an ordinary chocolate shop.   Pierre Marcolini's emporium has a simple and elegant decor with black and white as the theme located in the cobbled Place du Grand Sablon in Brussels.  It looks like a high- end jewelry store where one can browse at all the fancy edible and utterly delicious display.

The mysterious looking stairs that lead us to the 2nd floor

Inside the boutique, there's a wide variety of pralines and truffles all lined up in neat rows with exotic flavors such as Moroccan pink pepper berries or Earl Grey tea.  The cocao beans are from regions like Ecuador or Java, all elegantly packaged.

From the corner store of the Rue des Minimes, we walked up one block to the Place du Grand Sablon area and found ourselves in front of another Pierre Marcolini boutique!

This store was smaller than the one on Rue Des Minimes, concentrating mainly in the pastry aspect of Pierre Marcolini's repertoire.

Hot Cocoa

The BEST cup of hot chocolate ever with two small bites of ginger cookies.  A perfect balance. Scrumptious!

We of course did not leave without buying some fine treats from PIERRE MARCOLINI
